Trend - Iran’s 144 soccer players from different teams are banned from leaving the country, Iran’s news agency Fars quoted Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the implementation of Article 90 of the Constitution Hamid Rasaei Dec. 15 as saying.
Rasaei said that leaving the country is prohibited in connection with tax debts.
He said that six well-known soccer clubs and their players have tax debts worth more than $ 48 million.
He said that at present, the complaints against soccer clubs are considered in connection with corruption and tax evasion.
"Until now, the concessions were made for the soccer players involved in the matches in other countries,” he said. “But it can not continue."
“If anyone has complaints regarding the activity of the state, the parliament, the judiciary, this individual can appeal to the committee of the parliament in the written form,” according to the requirements of Article 90 of the Iranian constitution. “While considering these complaints, the commission appeals to the appropriate organizations to resolve them. In case of the public nature of the problem, the population is informed about the results.”
