TEHRANTIMES - Majid Gholamnejad joined Esteghlal football team on an 18-month deal on Sunday.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined the Iranian giant from Saipa. Gholamnejad will wear the No. 70 in Esteghlal.

"Every player dreams of playing for Esteghlal. They are a big club. I want to play at the World Cup. I think Esteghlal can win the title,” Gholamnejad said.

Gholamnejad has also played in Iran football team. The midfielder has made 17 appearances for Team Melli and scored one goal.

Esteghlal has already signed Boubacar Djeidy Kebe and Mehrdad Oladi in the winter transfer window.
