Esteghlal reaches second place [VIDEO]

PLDC - Tehran, Esteghlal is now second in the Iran Pro League, after defeating Malavan 1-0.


Malavan visited Esteghlal today in Tehran's famous Azadi Stadium and played in front of 6000 fans. This match was the last of the first half of this season, and it put Esteghlal in second place with 27 points, behind Persepolis with only one goal difference.

Hanif Omranzadeh scored the lone goal of the match in the 31st minute with a header, from Teymourian's free-kick assist.

Teymourian from Esteghlal, and Yousef Zadeh and Daghagheleh from Malavan, all received yellow cards from the referee of the match Seyed Ahmad Salehi.
