Persepolis Suffers Late Defeat against Sepahan [VIDEO]

Tasnim - Sepahan football team grabbed a late victory over Persepolis in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Friday.


Mehdi Sharifi scored a stunning goal in the dying moments of the match in Isfahan’s Fooladshahr Stadium.

Sepahan moved to IPL third place with the win.

“We defeated a great team and I am happy we finally won after several weeks. Sepahan deserved to win,” Sepahan coach Hossein Faraki said.

Elsewhere, Naft Masjed Soleyman defeated defending champion Foolad 2-1, Paykan suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Saba and Tractor Sazi edged Saipa 1-0.
