PFDC - Tehran, Ali Karimi will make his coaching debut working as an assistant for Iran’s national team manager, Carlos Queiroz.

Karimi was selected following a meeting between Queiroz and Iranian Football Federation president Ali Kafashian.

Karimi was officially presented in a press conference alongside Queiroz today.

On his new appointment Karimi said, “An honor has been bestowed upon me to be a coach in the national team”.

He continued, “I am very happy that I will begin my coaching career with the opportunity to work alongside Carlos Queiroz. He is a great head coach and I will certainly be able to benefit from his experiences”.

Karimi will officially begin work on Oct. 6th when Team Melli will begin their Asian Cup preparations with a training camp in Portugal.
