TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis midfielder Payam Sadeghian has been suspended from club matches for three months after pushing the referee in a match against Foolad in the second week of the Iran Professional League.


Sadeghian pushed the referee in the chest after receiving a red card for complaining in the 2-0 loss against Foolad on Thursday.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Iranian Football Federation also fined him 50 million rials (about $1600).  

Earlier, Persepolis fined Sadeghian 10 percent of his annual salary.
