TEHRANTIMES - Iran coach Carlos Queiroz said that Argentina’s Lionel Messi is incredible and may not be a human.
Iran is scheduled to play favorite Argentina in Group F of the 2014 World Cup in Belo Horizente on June 21.
The Iranian team drew 0-0 with Nigeria in its opening match on Monday while Argentina defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1. Messi scored the winner in the match.
“Against Argentina, we need a miracle to defeat them. They are one the best teams in the world,” Queiroz told Argentine state-run news agency Telam.
“Argentina has one day more to rest and is in the better condition,” the 61-year-old said.
Former Real Madrid and Portugal coach said he is concerned not only about Lionel Messi but also about the rest of the Albicelestes players.
“Messi is not a human. He is an incredible player; however all the other players also worry me. (Angel) Di Maria, (Gonzalo) Higuain and (Javier) Mascherano are the great players," he added.
