PLDC - Kuwait, Javad Nekounam who played for Kuwait SC against Riffa Club suffered an injury to his instep in the 75-minute of the match on Wednesday, but he joined Team Melli camp in Austria yesterday.

In the last match in AFC Cup against Bahrain Riffa team, Nekounam had some clashes with the opponent players and the midfielder of Riffa injured the foot of Team Melli captain.

After being injured, Nekounam left the pitch at the 75-minute of the match. This was his last play wearing Kuwait SC jersey.

He left for Frankfurt Wednesday night after the end of the match and joined Team Melli at 10 a.m. local time yesterday (Thursday). It is not clear if he can take part in Team Melli training with his injured foot or not.
