PLDC - Maringa, Iran lost its semi-finals match of the 2013 Futsal Grand Prix to Russia.

The match started well balanced with a lot of speed on the court. The beginning of the first half was even, until Milovanov opened the scoring for the Russians . Just before the end of the first half, Shayakhmetov made  it ​​2-0 for the Russians.

In the start of the second half, Iran had more possession but could not finish. With seven minutes left in the game, Russia's goalkeeper, Gustavo, scored ​​the third goal . Soon after Iran closed the gap , but Russia showed superiority and reached the fourth goal. In the final moments Iran scored another goal, but it was not enough and the match ended 4-2 in Russia's favour.

Iran and Paraguay will play on Sunday for third place.
