AFC - Asian Games gold medallists Iran will join 2002 World Cup finalists Denmark and Uruguay in an international quadrangular tournament to be played in Hong Kong next year. The participants in the annual Carlsberg Cup tournament, which is usually played in the SAR during the Chinese New Year period, was revealed late last week. Denmark and Uruguay met at last year's World Cup with the Danes winning 2-1 to advance to the second round. Slovenia, Honduras and China participated at this year's Carlsberg Cup with Honduras claiming the title with a victory over hosts Hong Kong in the final. |
