PLDC - Dubai, Iran ties Argentina in its first match of the 2013 U-17 World Cup in UAE.
In the first minute of action, Mostafa Hashemi scored a long range shot to give Iran an early lead. Sebastian Driussi tied the game for Argentina in the 15th minute.
Argentina started the second half more powerfully, and had several attempts on Iran's net, all of which were futile.
About 20 minutes into the second half, Iran started playing better and created some chances.
In the end, Iran gained one important point from its toughest group stage opponent.
Elsewhere in group E, the match between Canada and Austria ended 2-2. Iran will play Canada on Tuesday, October 22nd.
