PLDC - Tehran, This season has been a very close one, with no real dominant team. After Sunday's matches, Naft took first place, but five teams are still able to claim the title on the final match day.

Naft defeated Gostaresh 4-1 in Tehran, and took the first spot in the Iran Pro League table. Esteghlal defeated Foolad 1-0 in Ahvaz; Sepahan visited Malavan in Anzali and defeated their hosts 3-2; Tractor Sazi skimmed past Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0 in Tabriz; Persepolis failed to gain three points in Azadi, as their match against Rah Ahan ended 2-2; Zob Ahan defeated Damash 2-1 in Fooladshahr and pulled themselves out of the relegation zone; and Saipa vs Fajr, and Mes vs Saba both ended in goalless draws.

After today's matches, Naft, Foolad, Esteghlal, Persepolis, and Sepahan, all have the chance to win this season's title if things go their way on the final day of action. First place Naft is only three points ahead of fifth place Sepahan, and these two teams will face-off on Friday to decide their fate. Also, Naft is only ahead of Foolad by goal difference.

Mes sits at the bottom of the table with no hope, and is headed for the Azadegan League next season.
