PLDC - Tehran, Ghalenoei, the head coach of Esteghlal, was the phone guest of “Varzesh o Mardom” program today.

He first praised Ali Kafashian and said, “I thank Kafashian. The Team Melli, youth, and U-17 teams advanced to the World Cup in the first round of competitions. Kafashian has also done a great number of fundamental jobs for our football. He is cut out for sports administration.”

Regarding Team Melli's match against Thailand, he added, “Of course, I did not watch the match, but with regard to the 4-month vacation of the Team Melli Camp, this level of play was normal. Of course I am in disagreement with Queiroz on some issues.”

Quiroz said that he would talk with Daei and Ghalenoei when he returned from Brazil. In this regard, the head coach of Esteghlal said, “I want to express one issue for the first time. When I was in the technical committee, Kafashian named three names and asked my opinion about them. I spent two whole days with Amir Hajrezaei and finally I said that with regard to the experience and past record of Queiroz, he can help us. I also had some meetings with Queiroz when I was in Tractor Sazi. We have to help Queiroz. I was the only one who supported Team Melli when it lost the game against Lebanon. When there is a need for criticism, I will do it.”
