Alireza Jahanbakhsh

PLDC - Nijmegen, PersianLeague.com has conducted an exclusive interview with Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The interview is below in full:

PLDC: What are your New Year wishes?
Alireza: I congratulate all Iranians in Iran and those all over the world on the New Year and I wish them a year full of success, good health, and happiness.

PLDC: If NEC does not stay in the Eredivisie, do you plan on  playing in the Eerste Divisie?
Alireza: We'll try to stay in the top division and keep the team at this level. The majority of the players have signed (extended) a contract with the club and it is my first year in this club; I also have signed a contract with NEC.

PLDC: Have you got a new offer for the next season?
Alireza: Not yet, but the scouts of local teams and other European countries have been in the stadium several times and have shown interest. They have contacted the club and my agent indirectly. I'm not allowed to name the clubs.

PLDC: The fans are unhappy when your team's losses. How have they dealt with you?
Alireza: Of course they become unhappy, since NEC is a deeply rooted club with a long history, but it is interesting to note that they support the team in every match and they fill the seats. Fortunately, my situation in the club and in Nijmegen city is favorable and I have no problem from the side of the club fans.

PLDC: What is Team Melli's biggest barrier in the World Cup?
Alireza: The most fundamental issue is the preparation and holding high quality friendly matches to enhance coordination among the players; this can be an interlude for the powerful presence of Iran in Brazil.

PLDC: Would you like to add anything?
Alireza: I wish with the support of our dear people, the New Year (1393) will be a very good and successful year for Team Melli in Brazil.
