Jakkraphan Kaewprom

PLDC - Bangkok, One of Thailand's key midfielders has sustained an injury and will miss the match against Iran.

Thailand's news sources have reported that Jakkraphan Kaewprom has sustained an injury. They see this as a huge loss for the Thai national team and have said that Thailand's task has become much harder now.

This 25-year-old player plays his club football for Buriram United, and played against Esteghlal in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.

The Buriram native is one of Thailand's best players, but the Thai coach is not too caught up about missing this player as he said, "We can't be depressed about his injury. We just hope that our team doctors can get him ready for the return leg in Thailand. They are currently working on giving him a speedy recovery."

Jakkraphan Kaewprom got injured during Thailand's friendly match against Bahrain, which The War Elephants won 1-0. Because of this injury his name has been crossed out from the south east Asian country's squad list.

Thailand was supposed to come to Iran with 23 players, but after three of their players sustained injuries, they will now come to Iran with only 20 players.
