PLDC - Doha, Al Ahli SC of Qatar is in negotiations with Mojtaba Jabbari.

The official website of Al Ahli SC published, "In response to Fereydoon Zandi's injury in the match on Saturday night in the Qatar Stars League, authorities representing Al Ahli club have approached Mojtaba Jabbari as a possible replacement for Fereydoon Zandi. Fereydoon cannot be of service for the club for at least 6 months."

The club's website also announced that Mojtaba Jabbari has agreed to join the Qatari club.

Al Kass, a popular sports website of the Persian Gulf nation, wrote: "To strengthen their team, Al Ahli is perusing Mojtaba Jabbari. Jabbari is due to land in Doha for final negotiations to begin."

The 30-year-old creative midfielder left Sepahan after a few games into the season, due to complications with Kranjcar (Sepahan's coach), and also because his heart was with Esteghlal, as he so delicately put it himself.

In addition, Meghdad Najafzadeh, the president of the Board of Directors of Esteghlal, has expressed his desire to sign Jabbari in the mid-season transfer window.
