PLDC- Buriram, Amir Ghalenoei has asked the people of Thailand to warn their club, so that fair-play and sportsmanship can prevail.
The Esteghlal coach said, "I would like to congratulate Thailand on having a team that has made it this far. I just want the people of Thailand to warn their club, so that fair-play and sportsmanship can prevail."
Ghalenoei also commented on his teams improved performance in the second-half and explained, "I didn't talk to my team about technical issues inside the locker-room. Instead, I tried to prepare them psychologically, and told them that we are Iranians, and if we enter the field with 'Iranian zeal', then we will be victorious."
Ghalenoei also spoke about Esteghlal's hotel and accommodations, and said, "Visitors must always have peace and quite in their hotel. Around 11 PM last night, there were a group of people in the hotel pool, making lots of noise and disturbing the peace. When our team officials asked them to quite down, they entered the hotel and made even more noise.
The hotel management knew that our rooms were on the third and fourth floors, but they allowed these people to come on our floors and continue making noise and dancing.This continued till about 3 AM and our team didn't get any sleep. We have recorded videos of this incident and will surely file a formal complaint against the host team (Buriram United)."
He concluded, "One of my greatest ambitions is to win the AFC Champions League title with Esteghlal. Our team and fans have this potential, and with the help of God, we can hopefully do just that.""
