PLDC - Tehran, The Iranian Football Federation is seeking a friendly match for Team Melli before the game with Thailand, but no team from the eastern Asia has agreed to come to Iran.
Carlos Queiroz has put a request in for a friendly match with teams from eastern Asia for the camp, but the national teams of China and Vietnam did not accept the invitation due to simultaneous matches scheduled before.
The Iranian team is scheduled to play against Thailand on October 15th in Tehran (for Asian Cup 2015 qualifications), and Queiroz has asked for a friendly match against a team from the eastern Asia on October 10th or 11th in Tehran. On the other hand, many of these teams like Iran will be playing on October 15th, and taking a long cross-continent trip before these games is not possible for them.
The federation has also asked for a friendly match with Indonesia and North Korea, but due to a match with China on October 15th, the Indonesian team cannot travel to Iran either. Of course, the North Korean team has not officially responded, but due to some restrictions for their travel imposed on the national teams by the North Korean government, it is likely that they give a negative response.
Maldives and several African teams have no problem coming to Tehran in October, but it depends on whether Carlos Queiroz approves it or not. As of now, the federation is still trying to find an opponent from eastern Asia for a friendly match with Team Melli.
