PLDC - Ahvaz, Esteghlal Khuzestan's coach says his players defeated their Tehrani counterparts because of their great effort.

Esteghlal Khuzestan's head coach, Abdollah Veisi said, "Our players' effort and zeal and our fans' support were the reasons for our victory today. We are happy to have won the battle of the Esteghlals. I like to congratulate our players and fans. Esteghlal is a great opponent, and also Iran's representative in Asia (Champions League)."

He added, "Many of Esteghlal's (Tehran) fans were cheering for us today. I would like to also congratulate them on today's victory. I see a bright future ahead of us. We will end up in the single digit rankings (top 9) this season. I hope this feeling of duty fulfillment will remain with out players til the end of the season."
