Nasser Noamooz

PLDC - Tehran, The former head of the Iranian Football Federation, Naser Noamooz, has said that an investigation must be conducted to see where the federation's money has gone.

After  hearing that Team Melli's camp in Portugal has been cancelled for the second time, Noamooz said, "An investigation must be conducted to see why this camp has been cancelled. Has the federation not received a budget or are they in debt? The accounting department of the federation must assess the situation. In this matter, the communication with the Ministry of Sports is important. Have they not paid (the federation)? "

He continued, "There must be a flaw somewhere if the proper resources can not be secured... Why haven't the sponsored paid? Or why has their been no new sponsors? There must be an investigation done to answer these questions."

It is indeed very strange that the Iranian Football Federation has 'run out of money' before even holding a single camp for Team Melli prior to World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
