PLDC - Tehran, Esteghlal defeat Rah Ahan with ease, and take the second position of the table.

This match was played in front of 10,000 spectators in Azadi Stadium.

In the 12th minute, Khosrow Heydari crossed the ball on Rah Ahan's net, and Mohammad Ghazi headed it in.

Hanif Omranzadeh headed the ball to Jlloyd Samuel, who then again headed it in, to give Esteghlal a 2-0 lead in the 67th minute.

20-year-old Behnam Barzay made a great run and a even better pass to Bahador Abdi, who scored in the 52nd minute to cut the margin down to one goal.

And Javad Nekounam scored from the penalty spot, to seal the deal for Esteghlal in the 87th minute.

The referee of the match, Mohsen Torki, gave three yellow cards to Esteghlal's Javad Nekounam, Farhad Majidi, and Pejman Montazeri, and also to Rah Ahan players: Saman Aghazamani and Behnam Barzay. Saman Aghazamani was ejected from the match in the 87th minute after receiving his second yellow card.

This match concluded the sixth week of action in the Iran Pro League. Esteghlal now sits in the second position of the table and Rah Ahan dropped to the 12th spot.
