PLDC- Tehran, The Head of the Monitoring, Inspection and Evaluation Committee of the Iran Pro League, Alireza Alipour, has given Esteghlal coach, Amir Ghalenoei, a week to provide documentation for his claims against Uhlsport.
Amir Ghalenoei had said that Uhlsport has become Iran's official league sponsor because of mafia ties. He had also complained about the quality of Uhlsport's kits and match balls. Many speculated that his criticism wasn't all that honest, and that he voiced these complaints because of his involvement with Majid Sportswear, which is a major company in Iran and a competitor of Uhlsport.
Coaches, players, officials and other personnel are not allowed to question each other's, the league's, the federation's, or any club's interests in interviews with the media. If they have any concerns, as professionals they are expected to and supposed to take it up with the specific committees of the league.
