The lone goal of the match was scored by Ebrahim Salehi for Esteghlal Khuzestan in the 38th minute.

Mehdi Rajabzadeh missed a penalty in the 83rd minute, and failed to give his team a point at home.

With this victory, Esteghlal Khuzestan moved up to the 8th position in the Iran Pro League with 20 points in 16 matches. Zob Ahan sits in the 13th position with 14 points in 16 matches.
