PLDC - Tehran, Iran's U22 team may play Kuwait in March instead of the country's senior national team.

Ali Kaffashian has suggested that Iran's U22 can play Kuwait, in case Team Melli secures a spot in Asian Cup 2015 on Tuesday.

Hooman Afazeli, Iran's U22 technical director has agreed to this suggestion, and announced, "First, we have to wait and see the result of Team Melli's match against Lebanon in Beirut. If we manage to defeat them, then we can run this idea by Carlos Queiroz. This way our senior team can focus on their friendly matches with peace of mind."

Ali Kaffashian also added, "Our U22 team plays very well, and if we give them the opportunity to play Kuwait, then they can take advantage of this incentive and play at a higher level."
