PLDC - Tehran, Sepahan defeat Esteghlal in Azadi Stadium to keep a perfect record and stay at the top of the table.
Arash Afshin started Sepahan's lead early with a goal in the 2nd minute. Veteran center defenceman, Hadi Aghili, doubled his teams lead with a 55th minute strike. Esteghlal defender, Amir Hossein Sadeghi, scored his team's lone goal in the 78th minute of the match. Sepahan are now league leaders with 6 points and are starting to make their mark, right from the get-go.
The Derby of Gilan ended in a goalless draw in Bandar Anzali, as Malavan and Damash both failed to score.
Esteghlal Khuzestan aimed to win their second match of the season in Shahid Bahonar Stadium in Kerman. Mehdi Chahkotah Zadeh gave Esteghlal Khuzestan great hope with a 4th minute goal, and his team seemed to be winning the match, until Mes striker, Ahmad Hassanzadeh, give his team a point from this home game, with a 91st minute strike.
Saipa lost their home match in Enghelab Stadium in Karaj to a Rah Ahan (Sorinet). Mojtaba Shiri started Rah Ahan's scoring in the 15th minute. Amin Manouchehri gave his team a 2-0 lead, as he scored from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute. Farzad Ashoobi sealed Rah Ahan's victory, as he converted Rah Ahan's second penalty in the 91st minute.
The Tabriz Derby ended in a 1-1 tie, in Tractor Sazi's home stadium (Yadegar-e Emam). Gostaresh defender, Amir Tizro, scored on his own net to give Tractor a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute. But 23-year-old defender, Mehdi Ghoreishi, tied the match for Gostaresh in the 83rd minute, to give his team a point from this match. Interestingly, Tractor Sazi still hasn't been able to score a goal this season.
The six teams that didn't play today, will face-off tomorrow. Foolad will host Fajr Sepasi in Ahvaz. Zob Ahan will host Persepolis in Esfahan, and Saba will pay Naft a visit in Tehran.
