PLDC - Tehran, Esteghlal give up on trying to sign Karrar Jassim.

Through an email, Esteghlal informed the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) that they have crossed Karrar's name off their squad list.

Karrar has already played a few matches for his home-town club of Al Najaf. The Iraqi club has delayed sending Esteghlal the proper documentation for Karrar's transfer, and therefore Esteghlal has stopped pursuing the matter.

Also, due to passport problems, Esteghlal has crossed off Hamed Khosravi's name from their Champions League squad.

Iran's Competitions Manager, Shahin Rahmani said, "Esteghlal officials informed us that these two players will not be on their squad for these games, however, Goran Lovre will be put on the squad."

Goran Lovre's situation with The Blues has been confusing, as it has been announced that he has been signed and dropped several times. But Lovre is now certainly a part of Esteghlal's squad.
