PLDC - Liverpool, Liverpool's managing director said, “We did some studies on Dejagah's situation in the preseason and we have considered him. Dejagah is a good player and enjoys a good level of competition and is acceptable for the premier league, but the coaches of Liverpool have considered a player with higher capabilities and that’s why they ignored him, to sign another player.”
Ian Ayre also acknowledged the countless fans of Liverpool in Iran and said, “Liverpool is a club with fans around the world and is one of the most popular clubs of the world. We too know that Liverpool has many fans in Iran and we are very happy about it. We have to find a way to have a closer relation ship with these fans.”
