After his team's defeat, Firat said, "Esteghlal's defensive line did well. We could have scored on them on counter attacks. In the first half, Esteghlal didn't have any chances, but we could have scored and changed the momentum of the match. In the second half we could have also scored, but got scored on because of a counter attack. We are upset because of this loss, but we didn't deserve to lose."

He added, "In the second half of the season we must build our team, but we can't attract the players that we want."
