Persianfootball.com - TABRIZ, AFC Champions League 2014 hopefuls Tractor Sazi Tabriz boosted their squad with another prominent signing, 23-year-old striker Karim Ansarifard.
The then league top scorer had joined Iranian giants Persepolis FC from Saipa last summer, but failed to live up to the very high expectations with eight league and four Cup goals.
After reportedly falling apart with his former mentor at Saipa and new Persepolis coach Ali Daei, Ansarifard signed a one-year-deal with Tractor according to Iran’s Fars News Agency.
Tractor, who had lost their topscorer Seyed Salehi to Persepolis during this transfer window, already had signed Iranian veteran star player Ali Karimi before.
Ansarifard had been regarded as one of Iran’s biggest football talents, but turned down offers from European clubs in 2011 and 2012 and meanwhile has lost his spot in the national team roster.
Iran’s Persian Gulf League 2013/14 will kick off on July 25.
