PLDC - Tehran, The Esteghlal goalkeeper said, "In football, nothing is impossible, and we will give it our all for Wednesday's game."
At the end of today's practice, Seyed Mehdi Rahmati was interviewed by several reporters and had some words of hope and encouragement to share.
The veteran goalkeeper said, "After our long trip to eastern Asia and our loss against FC Seoul, we took an oath and promised to win Wednesday's game. I believe nothing is impossible and everything can be done."
He continued, "I hope that our fans come to the stadium to support us, and we will give it everything we got. The result is in God's hand."
Regarding Esteghlal's performance in Seoul, Rahmati said, "Before the first goal, they had no real chances. But we are Esteghlal, and didn't want to play with a closed system, so we started to attack and this gave them the opportunity to create more chances. The match could have ended 2-1, or perhaps even 3-1, because both teams were playing offensively."
When asked what he has to say to the people, he replied, "I hope they support us. We have had a tough year and we also had a tough year last year. We will still try our best to gain results."
