PLDC - Tehran, The 77th edition of the Tehran Derby ended with a goalless draw and 95,000 fans left Azadi Stadium disappointed.

Persepolis had the first opportunity of the match, when Pejman Montazeri fouled Gholamreza Rezaei in the second minute, which gave The Reds a free-kick. However, this opportunity was wasted.

Just two minutes later, in the fourth minute, Seyed Salehi committed a foul on Andranik Teymourian in the middle of the field, and this gave The Blues their first free-kick.

In the 7th minute, the referee seriously warned Mohammad Ghazi and Jalal Hosseini, but no card was given.

In the 8th minute, Amir Hossein Sadeghi committed a hard foul on Payam Sadeghian but wasn't given a card.

In the 13th minute, Jlloyd Samuel's cross was stopped by Nilson.

Mohammad Mehdi Nazari's was injured in the 16th minute and left the field for a few minutes for treatment. He came back into the game with his head wrapped because of minor bleeding.

Ando took a free-kick in the 22nd minute of the match from just outside of the penalty box, but his shot hit The Reds' defensive wall.

Jalal Hosseini left the field for a bit because of an injury in the 25th minute, and just as he returned in the 26th minute, he was fouled by Mehdi Nazari.

In the 27th minute, Mohammad Nouri took a shot on Rahmati's net, but the Esteghlal goalkeeper directed the ball out. Persepolis was unable to take advantage of the corner.

In the 30th minute, Bengar confronted Nazari, after the Esteghlal striker crashed into Nilson.

Pejman Montazeri fouled Payam Sadeghian in the 37th minute. This gave Persepolis a free-kick from just outside the box, but Mohammad Nouri missed the net.

Gholamreza Rezaei fouled Siavash Akbarpour in the 38th minute. This foul also gave Esteghlal a free-kick from just outside the box. Ando cross the ball for Nekounam, whose header went wide.

Farhad Majidi replaced Siavash Akbarpour in the 44th minute after warming up for about 10 minutes.
Right at the start of the second half, in the 46th minute, Farhad Majidi had a one-on-one chance with Nilson, but was unable to capitalize.

In the 54th minute, Gholamreza Rezaei's pass to Dehnavi was wasted, as the newly signed Persepolis player missed the net.

Arash Borhani replaced Mohammad Mehdi Nazari in the 55th minute.

In the 56th minute, Bengar fouled Majidi just outside the box. But the free-kick and the corner after it were both wasted by Esteghlal.

Khalatbari replaced Gholamreza Rezaei in the 58th minute of the match.

In the 61st minute, Farhad Majidi passed the ball to Samuel, whose shot went wide.

In the 70th minute, Payam Sadeghian's shot was stopped by Mehdi Rahmati.

In the 79th minute, Hadi Noroozi replaced Ghasem Dehnavi.

Omranzadeh fouled Khalatbari in the 82nd minute, but Persepolis couldn't capitalize on the free-kick.

Disappointed fans started leaving the stadium from the 86th minute as both teams failed to impress their supporters.

As expected, both teams today played not to lose, so we witnessed a very defensive and aggressive game. This match was filled with fouls and yellow cards.

Yellow Card: Bengar, Nouri, Dehnavi, R. Haghighi, Sadeghian and M. Hosseini (After Full Time) all received yellow cards, and so did Esteghlal players: M. Nazari, Montazeri, and Ghazi.
