PLDC- Tehran, Mohammad Reza Khalatbari says that he turned down a 7 billion toman contract to avoid playing in the United Arab Emirates, because of them falsifying the name of the Persian Gulf.
Khalatbari decided not to share his contract amount with the press. But the newly-signed Persepolis players says that his new contract has special clauses, which gives him 100 million tomans extra if he scores 10 or more goals, and for every assist, the club will give him 4 million tomans.
Ajman Club was paid 800 million dollars to release Khalatbari. The United Arab Emirates changed the name of their football league to The A*r*a*b*ian Gulf League this season, which is a false name for the Persian Gulf. The Arab countries of the Persian Gulf have time an time again tried to falsify this name; refusing to call it by its true name, because of their spite for the word Persian.
For this reason, Khalatbari decided to not play for Ajman Club in this league and therefore turned down a 7 billion toman contract (approx. 2 to 2.2 million USD depending on exchange rate).
