PLDC - Tehran, Perhaps you have seen that recently certain sporting events, such as the Italy vs Spain game in the Confederations Cup, or the Iran vs Italy volleyball match have not been censored by the Iranian media.
Traditionally, images of women without proper hijab were censored by the Iranian media but perhaps the rubric has changed. Never before was there such tolerance for images and footage of bad hijab. However in these recent games, there was even a slow motion clip aired.
As different generations know, the media had always deleted such scenes and if these images were accidentally aired, the broadcast was temporarily cut off.

If you remember WC 94 in the United States of America, some of the matches were aired with lots of censorship and sometimes even the long shots of the fans in the stadiums were not shown.
With the recent tolerance in broadcasting, it leaves many wondering if the former rubric has changed. Also, it leaves everyone with the question that if these images and footage of women with no hijab can be aired, then why can't Iranian woman with good hijab enter stadiums and watch live sporting events?
