PLDC - Tehran, "I was surprised by the fans' attitudes and cheers towards me. I hope I can return to Esteghlal soon", admitted Jabbari.
Mojtaba Jabbari praised Esteghlal's fans after the match, as Blue fans cheered for him during Sepahan's visit to Azadi. In fact, he was so hyped up and happy about it, that he promised he will soon be back in Esteghlal.
In an interview after the match, Jabbari said, "I didn't expect the fans to understand my situation this well. Based on the circumstance, I couldn't stay in Esteghlal. I am not at all happy with Sepahan's win today, and I am upset about Esteghlal losing. But I am happy about the fans cheering for me."
However, Jabbari was aware that there were some fans who booed him, as he replied, "There might have been some fans that were chanting negative things, but the majority of the fans who were cheering for me, made sure that this stopped. But I do understand the frustration of those fans who were booing, and I will try my best to come back to Esteghlal."
He continued, "Esteghlal owes be money and if they paid me %10 of what they owe, along with my new contract pay out, then his amount would be more than what Sepahan paid me."
He even commented on the refereeing of the match, as he expressed, "We can't attack the referee because of one bad call, but fans become emotional. I hope these things don't happen in Iran's stadiums again."
