After an argument over the financial details of his contract extension after his surgery, a couple years back, Mojtaba had told the Esteghlal chairman, "I am sorry that you are lying as the chairman of the club."

Then things turned ugly, as Jabbari explains, "He then pushed me and I told him not to touch me. That's when he insulted my father so I punched him in the face. If Amiri (club rep) wasn't there, things could have turned out worse."
