PLDC - Leipzig, Mehdi Mahdavikia was invited to Michael Ballack's farewell game in which he started and played for 82 minutes. The match which was played between "The World Select" vs "Ballack and Friends" was spectated by 50,000 German football fans.

The match also featured great players like Drogba, Shevchenko, Lahm, and Abadayor.

The Carpet AKA Mahdavikia played for The "World Select" coached by the world renowned Jose Mourinho.

This match ended 4-3 in favor of "Ballack and Friends", and Michael played a half for each side and scored for both teams.

The German football legend, Ballack who was capped 98 times for his country's national team, also played for Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and FC Kaiserslautern.
