TEHRANTIMES - Esteghlal football team announced the signing of Iraqi midfielder Karrar Jassim on Sunday.

The 26-year-old player parted company with Esteghlal in 2011–2012 season after quarrel with the team’s iconic midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari.

Jabbari joined Sepahan in a shock move in early June and it means Karrar Jassim can play in his former team once again.

Karrar Jassim has already played in Iranian teams Tractor Sazi and Shahin Bushehr. The international Iraqi midfielder has joined the Iranian giant on a one-year contract.
