TEHRANTIMES - Esteghlal midfielder Khosro Heydari has signed a new one-year deal with the Tehran-based team, the Iranian Professional League club has confirmed.
Heydari came close to leaving Esteghlal after his contract ran out at the end of the last season but the 30-year-old player signed a new contract with the team.
“Sepahan and a team from Qatar were interested in signing me but I preferred to stay at Esteghlal. I am going to win the Asian Champions League with my team,” Heydari said.
On Saturday, iconic midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari made a shock move from Esteghlal to Sepahan.
