PLDC - Tehran, This afternoon (Tuesday) Mehdi Rahmati extended his contract with Esteghlal after a meeting with the club chairman, Ali Fathollahzadeh.
The former Team Melli goalkeeper didn't stay for interviews with the press and quickly left Esteghlal headquarters after his meeting.
After the meeting, the Esteghlal chairman revealed, "another club had offered him (Rahmati) a 7.5 billion toman contract for a three year signing period. They even offered a 1.5 billion toman deal to another player that we wanted, and furthermore they offered to pay 700 million toman cash upfront, even though we wanted to attract this player with 900 million toman."
