Adult team is Ivancovic’s preference

PLDC - Mohammad Ranjbar, the National Team Youth’s technical manager and National Team’s supervisor commented on the head coach of the Iranian National Team, Ivanovic, and the fact that his contract will run out in two months time, “Working with the National Team is a two-way affair and the thing has to be thoroughly discussed by both parties involved. I think that Ivancovic has no problems about renewing the contract but he prefers to coach the Adult team. To also have him coach the youth team needs careful consideration and talks between Ivancovic and Dadkan, Head of IFF, and a logical solution.”

According to Ivancovic himself, the head coach in most countries is responsible for both the adult and youth teams such as the UAE, Oman and Kuwait. He apparently thinks he can also manage both teams and as seen in Busan the results were even better than those of the adult team.

Ranjbar ended his comments by speaking about the fact that he himself holds two posts, “My having two posts is another matter which must be decided on. I have a tough job with the National Team and I can’t manage both.”
