TEHRANTIMES - Vahid Hashemian was appointed as new head coach of Niendorfer TSV (Oberliga Hamburg) on Thursday.
The Former Halstenbek-Rellingen coach replaced Frank Hullmann in the team. Hashemian will be assisted by Ali Farhadi and Frank Kickbusch in Niendorfer TSV.
Frank Hullmann has recently resigned.
“The Niendorf TSV is pleased to announce that Vahid Hashemian has been named the new head coach of the team. He replaced Frank Hullmann, who was released on his own request,” TSV Niendorf announced in a statement on its website.
“I hope that I can give Frank the rest he needs. As soon as he wants to get back, we work as a team. I look forward to working in this great club. It is a really challenging task,” said Hashemian, who has already worked successfully in Halstenbek-Rellingen last season.
Hashemian, commonly known as “Helicopter”, has played in Hamburger SV, VfL Bochum as well as German giant Bayern Munich.
The 36-old-year bade farewell to Iranian giant Persepolis last year and soon after took charge of the SV Halstenbek-Rellingen in the fifth division.
Hashemian has played 55 matches for the Iran football team and scored 14 goals.
