Persianfootball.com – MUSCAT, The Iranian football national team lost a friendly match against the host Oman 3-1 in Muscat on Wednesday afternoon.

Iran had to face Oman practically without all Esteghlal Tehran invitees as well as all legionnaires due to club duties.

The hosts, who were clearly outplayed by the Iranian outfits in terms of technical potential, made the most of Iran’s glaring performance of their defensive unit.

Three goals by Oman in the 20th, 29th and 60th minute clearly identified several weak spots during corner kicks or man-to-man marking.

Iran got one back in injury time. Zob Ahan’s Mohsen Mosalman scored from a beautiful and unsaveable freekick.
