TEHRANTIMES – Mansour Ebrahimzadeh has been shortlisted for Persepolis job, the team general manager, Mohammad Ruyanian, said on Thursday.
The Tehran-based club will make a new appointment after Yahya Golmohammadi’s resignation on May 8.
Golmohammadi stepped down as Persepolis coach after his team lost to Sepahan in a penalty shootout in Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
“We’ve negotiated with a number of coaches and will choose the best option for our team. I think Mr. Ebrahimzadeh has more chance to take charge of the team,” Ruyanian said.
Ebrahimzadeh headed Naft in the Iran Professional League last season but could not take the team to next season’s AFC Champions League.
Mohammad Mayelikohan, Hamid Derakhshan and Branko Ivankovic are also shortlisted for the job.
