Shahrdari Tabriz relegated from IPL



TEHRANTIMES - Shahrdari Tabriz has been relegated because of a match-fixing scandal.


The Iranian Football Federation's disciplinary committee announced the verdict on Monday.

Shahrdari Tabriz had won promotion back to the Iran Professional League (IPL) in April but was relegated to the Iranian 1st division (Azadegan League).

Shahrdari Tabriz coach Faraz Kamalvand was accused because of his involvement in the match-fixing scandal.  He has been suspended for two years for his role in the scandal.
