Doha - Qatar Football Association (QFA) yesterday announced that it will offer a variety of activities at Al Sadd Stadium to celebrate and support the Qatar National Team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Iran.

The fun-packed day will begin at 4pm offering many activities at the popular L’Batak Fan Zone which was launched to mark the HH Emir Cup 2013. The mega Fan Zone will be located outside Gate 5 for fans to enjoy the diverse activities.

L’Batak is a high-tech football themed mobile Fan Zone that encourages fans to participate in the football related games and activities. Activities include 2 small –sized football pitches, dream tent that contains high-tech games and inflatable games for children.

During its launch, L’Batak was showcased at key locations across Qatar as a unique, flexible version of a modern-day fitness centre, featuring a wide range of activities recreating cardio-based physical movements that would occur in a traditional gym environment, such as running, lunges, and squats, within a football themed space.

A well-rounded plan is executed to ensure that challenges don’t arise on the day of the match. QFA encourages all spectators to arrive early to the stadium to ensure smooth access to the stadium and parking lots without facing any difficulties.

Khalid al-Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications said: “We have constructed a full-fledged plan that focuses on our Qatari and expatriate audience to make sure that everyone enjoys the match. Full array of activities are provided on the day at the mega Fan zone that is sponsored by our partner, Qatar Shell.”

We rely heavily on our fans and recognise that their attendance is of utmost importance in this match because the Qatar team will be facing a very important match.”

Different gates are assigned for the different groups of spectators attending the match. Gates  1 and 7 are allocated to the people with special needs, 2 is allocated for families, 3, 5, 6 and 8 are allocated for Qatar’s spectators, and 9 for Iran’s spectators.
