PLDC - Tehran, Regarding his leaving  Persepolis, Ali Karimi said, “The head coach certainly has full authority to arrange his team. Every coach should select the line up to his own liking. He must pick a roster that he thinks will be successful. This also applies to Persepolis and Ali Daei. Daei is authorized to work with those who he trusts."

Karimi further added, “I am not upset about this issue, since it is something natural in professional football. I wish him success and even hope he makes Persepolis champion.”
