PLDC - Bandar Anzali, Malavan F.C. signs its first foreign coach in the club's 44 year history. The 45 year old Croat, Dragan Skočić, will lead the White Swans of Bandar Anzali in the 2013-2014 season.
He started his coaching career in the 2005-2006 season with HNK Rijeka of Croatia, and has since lead Interblock of Slovenia, Al Arabi of Kuwait and Al Nasr of Saudi Arabi, before returning to Rijeka. He studied coaching in the University of Zagreb and has his UEFA coaching license. He has twice won the Croatian Cup, and has also won the Slovenian Cup and Supercup.
All of Malavan's previous coaches were not only all Iranian, but also former players of the club. Bahman Salehnia, Nosrat Irandoost, Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, and Farhad Pourgholami were the main noteworthy coaches on this club in the past.
