PLDC - Tehran, In an interview in Emirates, Javad Nekounam expressed his regret at returning to Iran Pro League.

The 33-year-old Javad says, “I signed a contract with Osasuna and could stay in the team. To tell you the truth, the football level in Europe is greatly different from that of Iran and now that I think over it I see that my decision to return to Iran at the beginning of the season was not right.”

Javad who had also decided to return to Osasuna during the half-season, decided to return to Esteghlal at the beginning of the season due to some private family issues. Esteghlal is the team he was interested in from childhood, but now that Esteghlal is at the threshold of championship and advancement to the 8-top- team group of Asia, he regrets returning to Iran.

In an interview, Nekounam announced that he has also received two serious offers from Emirati teams.
