TEHRANTIMES - The goalkeeper of the Iranian football says his team still has a chance to book a berth in the 2014 World Cup.
Iran will face Qatar in a must-win game on June 4 in the Qatari capital Doha. The Persians will also play Lebanon and South Korea on June 11 and 18 respectively.
Iran is third in Group A with seven points. Uzbekistan leads the group with 11 points with one game more, followed by South Korea with 10 points.
“We are under pressure now. If we win our first match, we can advance to the World Cup,” Daniel Davari said on Monday.
Eintracht Braunschweig clinched a return to the Bundesliga after 28 years when it beat FC Ingolstadt 1-0 on Friday.
“I am a member of Eintracht Braunschweig and I am so happy that our team has returned to Bundesliga,” the keeper said.
