PLDC - Tehran, By accepting Iran’s request, FIFA selected East Asian referees for the remaining plays of Iran for the World Cup competitions.

After being greatly harmed by the judgement of the referees in the World Cup qualifiers, Iran Football Federation asked FIFA through a letter that in the upcoming and remaining plays no Arab referees officiate the plays.

In response to this request, FIFA announced its agreement through a letter yesterday. FIFA announced to Iran Football Federation that in the plays against Qatar, Lebanon, and South Korea referees from Singapore, Japan, and China will officiate the plays, respectively.
